More stall signs

Some more horse name signs for their stalls.

Made from 1×4, they’re 12 inches long. I switched from shellac to sanding sealer as a pre-sealer. It works just as good, cleans up with soap and water and accepts any type of finish coat. After painting and sanding, these were finished with Danish oil.

Stall Signs

I had an order for some stall signs for 3 horses named Bandido, Princess and Jalapeno. This was not a complicated project, made from 1×4 spruce, carved on the Onefinity, then given 2 coats of shellac before painting. 2 coats of black spray paint were followed by a good sanding. Then 2 more coats of shellac for the final finish.

SCMHC Awards

I had the honour to be asked to make some awards for the South Coast Miniature Horse club for their year-end banquet. Here are some of the happy winners.

The award plaques on my CNC

They are made from laminated maple, carved on my Onefinity Woodworker, sealed, painted, sanded and finished with 3 coats of polyurethane. I cut keyholes on the reverse using the CNC as well.
