Bill Strong

  • I retired after working 42 years as an Operating Engineer and Senior Training Officer with Ontario Hydro and Ontario Power Generation. I operated 512 MW coal fired generating units at Nanticoke Generating Station. As a Senior Training Officer, I took part in the introduction of power plant simulators in the 1990’s. I designed, developed and delivered training in Fossil stations as well as development of simulators for water management and dam safety training in Hydroelectric.
  • My hobbies include: Amateur Radio, Photography, Woodworking, Hunting, Shooting Sports including Cowboy Action Shooting

  • Qualifications: 2nd Class Operating Engineer, Diploma in Adult Education from St. F.X University, Certified CSSA Range Safety Officer Instructor
